The Ruins of San Ignacio
The Jesuit mission (which inspired the film The Mission) was founded in 1610 in the Guayra region by Fathers José Cataldino and Simón Masseta. Later, in 1655, the Mission moved to the Paranaíba region due to the invasions of the Mamluks.
Declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The ruins of San Ignacio are located 240 km (Provincial Route 12) from Puerto Iguazu.
And 64 km (Provincial Route 12) from the city of Posadas (capital of the Province of Misiones).
Aripuca Park
It is located in the city of Iguazú, Misiones (Argentina). However, it is a replica of a giant Aripuca (trap – a trap less than one meter long), which was made with properly recovered trunks and which took nine years to build.
