Without a doubt, it is one of Cartagena’s architectural masterpieces. It has an eclectic and French style, built in 1900 by Tomas Rico and Francisco de Paula, Spanish modernist architects who left abundant decoration elements in this building.

Stroll through the Military Battery of Castillitos

This wonderful historic site was built from 1933 to 1936 as a defense during the Spanish Civil War. Therefore, it is a set of historicist-style buildings, divided into an entrance porch (a kind of measurable castle). In addition, there are tunnels, workshops, observation centers, among others.

The impressive thing about this place is the amount of cannons of almost 18 meters spread out in a fortress that looks more like a labyrinth. It also stands out for being in a strategic and beautiful place, facing the bay of Cartagena. Ideal place to take spectacular pictures.

Go to the National Museum of Underwater Archeology
