Top Gaudi’s Projects in Barcelona
Gaudi was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His works were unique, the result of his romantic vision of construction and nature. In this way, his works were almost handcrafted.

Park Guell

Casa Mila
This building, designed by Gaudi, is also known as “La Pedrera”. Its construction began in 1905 and was completed in 1907. It is one of the most iconic works by Gaudí, especially because of its organic forms, imitating forms of nature — something common in the work of the Catalan architect.
Since 2019, it has only one permanent resident. The most impressive element of the construction is the roof, which offers the viewer a view only present in dreams — or in the works of a brilliant architect like Gaudí.
Casa Batlló
Casa Batilo is more eccentric than the previous example, despite having a smaller magnitude. It is all adorned and decorated with murals and characteristic elements of Art Nouveau, marked by the particularization of each element and work.
The House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admiring the facade is an incredible experience. Currently, the house functions as a museum and also has several establishments, such as a cafe. Efforts come from the municipal administration to value Catalan modernism and the works of Gaudí.
Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família
The Sagrada Familia is one of the most iconic works in the world. It is located in the city of Barcelona and has been one of the city’s postcards since it began to be built. Its style is unique, the brainchild of the architect who designed it: Antoni Gaudí.
Unfortunately, the Catalan architect was unable to see his work completed (it is still under construction today!). One of the reasons for the delay in construction is the architectural complexity. Many experts claim that only Gaudí was able to fully understand it.
Casa Vicens
Casa Vicens is yet another work by Gaudí, commissioned by a large tile and brick merchant and producer. Thus, it is not by chance that the work contains a lot of these two materials.
This construction was a real challenge for Gaudí, as the Catalan architect still had no practical experience. However, at the end of the work, he proved that his name would be among the giants, as he built something never seen before, with surprising beauty and quality.
