Another historic city to visit in Hungary, Eger is located at the foot of the Bukk Mountains and stands out for its baroque architecture, very present in its buildings, which are among the most beautiful in the country.

Historically, the city is known for defending its fort against the Turkish invasion, which had a great influence on the city. Its cathedral is located in the castle of Eger and the city was built around it beautifully.

Esztergom is one of the oldest cities in the country and great for a day trip from the capital, as it is about 1 hour from Budapest in the north of the country. Its main tourist spot is the famous Basilica of Esztergom, which in addition to being beautiful and imposing is the largest church in Hungary and the 3rd largest cathedral in Europe.

Its historical importance is due to the fact that it was the first capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, where the first Hungarian king, Saint Stephen, was also born.
